We are delighted to announce the fifth Summer Music in City Churches festival.

The theme this year is Legends & Heroes

Gorgeous repertoire celebrates great figures from music, art, literature and history (ancient and modern): from the gods of classical mythology to Figaro, Tristan & Isolde; from St Francis of Assisi to Admiral Nelson and Sir Christopher Wren in his 300th anniversary year.

Concerts feature the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, London Mozart Players, City of London Choir, pianists Elizabeth Sombart and Mark Bebbington, Iain Farrington and his Art Deco trio, chamber ensembles and family concerts. All take place in St Giles Cripplegate and other historic churches within London's Square Mile.

Summer Music in City Churches was founded in 2018, presenting beautiful music to engage, divert and inspire, in ancient and architecturally stunning churches in London's Square Mile. Standing cheek by jowl with City offices, these churches are glorious settings in which to listen and reflect: oases of history, beauty and peace amidst the 24-7 hurly-burly of City life.
