About the event
The ever-popular brass players of the RPO return for a thrilling musical tour of Europe and the Americas.
The concert transports us first from the rolling landscape of the Sussex Downs in Ireland’s Downland Suite to the opulent architecture of St Mark’s Basilica in Venice with Gabrieli’s Canzon Septimi Toni a 8.
We then travel further overseas to the New World: the urban streets of Argentina in Piazzolla’s pivotal Triunfal, and onto the vastness of North America with Dvořák’s Largo movement from Symphony No. 9 (From the New World).
